Keeping it real for ya ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜† I got a little too agg Keeping it real for ya ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†

I got a little too aggressive with my lift portion, I snagged the top and nearly took myself out with the t-post driver.

Thankfully I didnโ€™t injure myself like last time. ๐Ÿ˜†

Gardening can be dangerous sometimes ๐Ÿคช

This is me setting up my cucumber row so they have a place to climb. Companions go up front.

Flowers in your garden are not just there to look Flowers in your garden are not just there to look cute. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Yes โ€” flowers in general are amazing for attracting pollinators, adding biodiversity, and making your garden feel alive.

But if youโ€™re trying to build a garden that actually *works harder for you*?

You need to be planting the right flowers.

Because some flowers do more than bring in bees.

They help attract the beneficial insects that keep pests in check.

โญ๏ธ **These are the real stars:**

โžก๏ธ **French Marigolds**
They help attract ladybugs, hoverflies, lacewings, and parasitic wasps โ€” aka the tiny garden security team that goes after aphids, whiteflies, and other soft-bodied pests. Their roots are also known for helping suppress root-knot nematodes in the soil.

โžก๏ธ **Alyssum**
Tiny flower. Huge impact. Alyssum is one of the best flowers for attracting hoverflies and parasitic wasps. Hoverfly larvae eat aphids like itโ€™s their full-time job.

โžก๏ธ **Calendula**
Calendula brings in bees, butterflies, ladybugs, lacewings, and hoverflies. It also acts like a landing pad for beneficial insects because of its open, easy-access flowers.

โžก๏ธ **Borage**
Borage is a pollinator magnet โ€” especially for bees. It also attracts beneficial wasps and helps bring more activity into your garden ecosystem.

โžก๏ธ **Nasturtiums**
Nasturtiums attract pollinators, but theyโ€™re also helpful as a trap crop because aphids love them. That means they can pull pest pressure away from your vegetables when used strategically.

So yes, plant flowers.

But donโ€™t just plant random flowers and hope for the best.

Plant flowers that feed your pollinators, support your beneficial insects, and help your garden defend itself naturally.

Thatโ€™s the difference between a pretty gardenโ€ฆ

and a protected one. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป๐ŸŒผ

If youโ€™re done losing plants every season and ready to build a garden that actually defends itself, comment DEFEND and Iโ€™ll DM you the link. ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š
