This has been such a cool experiment to test. Vert This has been such a cool experiment to test. Vertical growing for my squash and zucchini plants.

So far, only pest pressure has been cucumber beetles and a few squash bugs. Just bought a big beneficial insect kit from @naturesgoodguys and will be documenting that process soon.

Iโ€™ve got pollinators and some beneficials but not enough beneficials to take out my cucumber beetle population, even though my entire garden has a defense system setup to attract beneficials in to take up residency.

Iโ€™m growing vertically to give airflow (reduce powdery mildew chances) and reduce SVB pressure. So far so good on both of these. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

Plants are happy, even with pest pressure. Fruit is producing nicely.

What questions can I answer?

I get asked this question A LOT. โ€œI donโ€™t know whe I get asked this question A LOT. โ€œI donโ€™t know where to start.โ€

And boy howdy, thatโ€™s a statement full of overwhelm if there ever was one. Gardening is extremely accessible. And once you start growing your own food, you will never go back.

So this is how Iโ€™m going to help you get over the hurdle of knowing where to startโ€ฆ

My question: What do you LOVE to eat? Like to eat is good. But love to eat is better.

Thatโ€™s it. Write down what you love to eat and that is where you start.

Next is know what your frost dates are so you know what your growing windows are.

Go to google and type in your zip code + frost dates. Like this: 76109 + frost dates

Once you know those dates, you take your list and find out when those veggies/fruit fit within your growing window. (i.e. Are they cooler weather plants or warm weather plants?)

Next up: where are you going to plant these plants?
Raised beds, containers, in the ground?

This is where you start. Need more help? My DMs are always open.

P.S. If you want a garden that protects itself โ€” without chemicals or constant guessing โ€” comment SYSTEM and Iโ€™ll DM you the link.๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š

Popped over to my garden this morning to harvest what was ready so I could add it to my stand and get it all stocked and ready for opening day.

Which is TODAY! ๐Ÿ’š

What farm stand Qโ€™s do you have?
